There are essentially (3) acceptable types of documentation:
1. Proof of vaccination
Travellers, aged 18 years and older with a vaccine certificate showing that their last dose was administered over 270 days before arrival, must also show a certificate proving a booster vaccination has been administered. These certificates will be considered valid since the day the booster dose was administered.
or
2. Proof of Negative Test
A negative NAAT (ie. PCR) test within 72 hours of departure to Spain or
A negative antigen test within 24 hours of departure
or
3. Proof of Recovery
You have recovered from a COVID-19 infection and have proof of recovery. We are not certain how to obtain proof of recovery in Canada.Benalmádena Pueblo (where the wedding is) is approximately 20km from the airport.
All passengers must also complete the SpTH (Spain Travel Health) Health Control Form within 72 hours of their departure to Spain. You can complete the form here or via the SpTH app (download the Apple version here or Android version here). Once completed, you will receive a SpTH QR code to show at boarding and at health controls upon arrival in Spain.
It is wise to take pictures/screenshots of both your entry documentation and also of the QR code since WiFi at airports is not always reliable (as we’ve learned from experience!).
You can read the complete rules and more info at the Spain Travel Health website here. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions (send us a message)!
